Sea Breeze Book Nook

My niece ordered this, and then said it was too complicated for her. I can understand that as you have to create almost everything. It was challenging because of the wiring and at first, I was missing some parts. I contacted another company who sold this and they sent me the missing parts. it is absolutely beautiful when constructed, but you have to study the manual very closely and you have to construct every single thing in it. I would advise having some long handled tweezers, lots of superglue, and a glue stick or two. It is an absolute blast to create, but it takes a while. When you finally get it lit, it is absolutely adorable. This is not a child’s kit. This is for an adult experienced crafter. If you love a challenge and have time, this is lots of fun.

I didn't like the fact that so many things had to be built/put together. You had to create almost everything, e.g. curtains, string beads, etc. I was not expecting having to do all of that. I would have thought they would have already come premade. The wiring was also very confusing to me. I have made several BookNooks and I stopped this one and have not yet tried to pick it back up because it was very frustrating to me.

I was so excited to put this one together when I received it. It was very tedious to make but I love that kind of detail when it comes to these book nooks. The instructions are a little hard to follow but I looked up other instructions for it on YouTube and found out how it worked. I've put together several of these and absolutely love them. This was the most challenging one so far. I have also found that when you build these nooks, make it your own. You don't have to follow the instructions to the letter. The roses are very hard to make and take a lot of time but those of you who don't have the patience can replace it with flowers already made. Just a suggestion.

This was so fun! Tons of tiny details and the end product is gorgeous. If you don’t have a steady hand and endless patience, steer clear. The instructions were great but you do need glue. I used Beacon 3-in-1 and it worked perfectly to hold quickly but easily movable after it was applied.

Holy smokes, get ready to put on your readers if you're like me and in your late 40s. These pieces are TINY and basically NOTHING is pre-assembled. But the instructions include pictures and a list of materials that make each step pretty clear. You will need your own glue (get Aleene's Original Tacky Glue. You can get an 8oz bottle for about $3 and this stuff is perfect.) You'll also need tweezers, some good scissors, painter's tape to hold glued pieces while they dry, and something to bend wire into round shapes. I've included a pic of one of the potted plants; please excuse the outgrown nail polish. That singular potted plant is constructed of a small bead, wrapped in small twisted cords of paper with a green spongey material cut into leaves, pink cords of twisted paper, flattened and rolled into roses and glued onto cut wire, and more twisted paper glued as a handle. Like I said, you'll be making EVERYTHING. But if you're like me, constantly wanting to be creative and crafty and needing to keep our constantly-going mind occupied, this is the project for you. Definitely not for little kids. I can't wait to see it come together!
